The HandShoe Shift Ambidextrous Cordless Mouse is an ergonomic computer mouse designed to provide greater support and comfort during everyday workplace use. Its patented shape supports the palm, fingers and thumb while positioning the hand at a natural 25° angle. Unlike a conventional mouse that can encourage a tighter grip and concentrated finger movement, the HandShoe Shift provides a larger supporting surface so the hand can rest more naturally during use.
The ambidextrous design is particularly useful for people who want to alternate between their left and right hands. A simple toggle on the underside changes the mouse between left and right handed operation, allowing the user to vary their working hand throughout the day.
Supports a More Relaxed Hand Position
The mouse is shaped to support the whole hand rather than requiring the fingers and thumb to grip a compact body. The lightly slanted 25° position is designed to encourage a more relaxed hand and wrist posture, while the thumb platform provides additional support and helps reduce unnecessary thumb movement. This can make prolonged mouse use feel more comfortable and may help reduce fatigue associated with repetitive computer work.
The palm and finger support also keeps the hand away from the desk surface as the mouse is moved. This reduces unnecessary contact between the hand and work surface, allowing the mouse to glide freely during everyday tasks.
Flexible Left and Right Handed Use
The HandShoe Shift can be configured for either hand using the toggle on the underside. Alternating hands provides a practical way to vary the physical demands of mouse use during the working day. The left and right buttons are positioned in line with the fingers and are designed to require minimal operating force, helping reduce the effort needed for frequent clicking.
Wireless Workplace Convenience
Bluetooth connectivity provides a cable-free connection between the mouse and a compatible computer, helping to keep the workstation clear of unnecessary cables. The fixed 1000 DPI pointer speed is suited to comfortable and efficient everyday mouse work, including general office tasks, browsing and detailed computer work.
A built-in rechargeable battery provides approximately 4-6 weeks of operating time on a full charge. Recharging takes approximately three hours, or up to six hours when the battery is completely empty. The mouse can also be used while charging via the supplied USB-C to USB-A cable, providing continued use when required.

The HandShoe Shift has been developed from research and field experience with the original HandshoeMouse. Its design has been informed by research carried out by a Dutch medical university in Rotterdam and extended testing within large organisations. The focus throughout is on supporting the hand during repetitive computer work without relying on exaggerated grip forces or unnecessary movement.
