Overview
The CMD Caplet is a compact, on-desk power module designed to bring essential power and charging exactly where it’s needed. Combining a UK mains socket with a dual USB Type-C adaptive fast charger, Caplet supports the demands of modern devices while helping to keep desks tidy and organised. Its small size and clean design make it well suited to offices, educational settings, and commercial workspaces.
USB-C Fast Charging Performance
Caplet features twin USB Type-C ports with adaptive fast charging. When a single USB-C port is used, it delivers up to 65W, making it suitable for high-powered laptops as well as tablets and smartphones. When both USB-C ports are in use simultaneously, the upper port supplies up to 45W and the lower port up to 18W. For optimal performance, CMD recommends connecting higher-powered devices such as laptops to the upper USB-C port.
Mains Power & Safety
Alongside USB charging, Caplet includes one UK mains socket for powering standard office equipment. A built-in 3A resettable circuit breaker provides additional protection, helping to safeguard connected devices. The circuit breaker can be manually reset using an appropriate tool, ensuring continued use without the need for replacement fuses.
Installation & Desk Mounting
The Caplet is supplied with a c-clamp fixing designed to fit desk thicknesses between 11mm and 30mm. Installation is straightforward, with the module clamping securely to the desk edge. A 1.5m cable is fitted as standard and terminates in a 3-pole GST male connector, allowing connection to a suitable power supply using a compatible starter lead, sold separately.
Design & Colour Options
Designed to complement a wide range of interiors, Caplet is available in black and white as standard, as well as a selection of coloured fascias. Colour options include grey, sage, navy, storm, rose, stone, and mustard. Fascias can be replaced if required, allowing the unit to be refreshed or re-matched to changing environments.
