At OE Group, we believe that good ergonomic advice should be practical, evidence-based, and centred on real people. Through OE Knowledge, we aim to make ergonomic expertise, workplace wellbeing, accessibility, and inclusive design information accessible to everyone, from individual home workers to large organisations.
This Editorial Policy explains how we create, review, and maintain our content.
1. Our Editorial Principles
All content published by OE Group is guided by the following principles:
Evidence-Based
We aim to provide information that is grounded in current ergonomic research, industry best practice, relevant legislation, and professional experience.
Practical and Accessible
Our content is written to be clear, useful, and understandable. We focus on providing practical guidance that readers can apply in real-world situations.
Independent and Balanced
Where appropriate, we present balanced information that considers different approaches, products, and workplace requirements. Recommendations are based on suitability and user needs rather than commercial considerations alone.
Human-Centred
Every workplace and every individual is different. We recognise that effective ergonomic solutions must consider the person, the task, the environment, and any specific needs or circumstances.
Accuracy and Transparency
We strive to ensure that all information is accurate at the time of publication. Where information changes over time, we review and update content accordingly.
2. Content Creation Process
OE Knowledge is designed to make ergonomic science, workplace wellbeing, accessibility, and inclusive design practical and relevant to everyday working life.
Content is developed by members of the OE Group team and informed by professional assessment experience, ergonomic research, industry guidance, workplace practice, product evaluation, client feedback, and interviews with subject matter experts.
Our aim is to bridge the gap between ergonomic theory and real-world application, helping readers make informed decisions about their workspaces, equipment, and working practices.
Before publication, content is reviewed for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and relevance. Where appropriate, articles may also be reviewed by a subject matter expert to ensure technical accuracy.
3. Product Recommendations & Commercial Relationships
OE Group supplies ergonomic products and services. We believe it is important to be transparent about this relationship.
When products are featured within our content:
- Recommendations are based on suitability, functionality, and ergonomic principles.
- Products may be selected because they address a particular workplace need or challenge.
- Inclusion within an article does not imply that a product is the only suitable solution.
- We aim to explain the reasoning behind recommendations wherever possible.
Our editorial content is developed independently of commercial sales objectives. The primary purpose of OE Knowledge is to educate and inform. We do not recommend products solely because they form part of our portfolio. Recommendations are based on the requirements of the individual, task, or workplace being discussed.
4. Content Review & Updating
Workplace practices, legislation, standards, and products evolve over time.
To help maintain accuracy, we periodically review published content and update articles when significant changes occur.
Updates may include:
- New research findings
- Changes to legislation or guidance
- Product updates or discontinuations
- Clarifications or improvements to existing content
Where appropriate, articles may display a publication date and/or a review date.
5. Corrections Policy
Despite our review processes, errors can occasionally occur. If a factual error is identified, we will investigate and correct the content as appropriate.
Readers who believe an article contains an error or requires clarification are encouraged to contact OE Group [marketing@oe-group.co.uk] so that the matter can be reviewed by our editorial team.
6. AI Usage Policy
OE Group may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support certain editorial processes, including content planning, structure, proofreading, editing, and content organisation.
AI is not used as a substitute for professional expertise. The knowledge, recommendations, opinions, and guidance contained within OE Group content are derived from human expertise, workplace assessment experience, research, and industry knowledge.
All content is reviewed, edited, and approved by a member of the editorial team and, where appropriate, a subject matter expert prior to publication.
Editorial responsibility for all published content remains with OE Group.
7. Authors & Subject Matter Experts
OE Group’s content is developed through collaboration between members of our team and external subject matter experts. Depending on the topic, articles may be written, edited, reviewed, or informed by professionals with expertise in ergonomics, occupational health, workplace wellbeing, accessibility, assistive technology, workplace design, and related fields.
In addition to drawing on the expertise of our internal team, we regularly interview assessors, occupational health professionals, industry specialists, manufacturers, researchers, and workplace practitioners to ensure that our content reflects current thinking, practical experience, and real-world workplace challenges.
